It might not be a full-fledge short movie, but Happy Thanksgiving still is a nice short. It is almost a hybrid of a vlog and a short. I took random footage throughout my Thanksgiving day and compiled it later. Check it out.

No Update Lately

So lately we haven't really updated this blog. I can tell you why. I am working on my blog and John is working on his. It is kind of weird that it all started with this website and blossomed from here. To view our blogs check out the left sidebar. They will lead you to My Senior Year, John's Blog, and The Rambling Page, My Blog. John's blog is about his senior year and mine is just about whatever is on my mind. So yeah hopefully we will get another vlog up soon. But we did have the vlog with John and Seth at Discovery World. Well maybe we'll put one up soon.

Why Widescreen

Our vlogs, why are they in the widescreen format?

I thought I would let everyone know the reasons behind our vlogs being in widescreen so you guys don't start thinking we're doing it just to be cool or so we can put text above and below our videos. The reason for widescreen vlogs is that my video camera records in widescreen, real widescreen. The camcorder I use does not letterbox; instead it actually uses more of the CCD, the image sensor on the camera, to capture a widescreen image. It's this simple - widescreen = more stuff on the screen.

I Just Do Not Understand

I don't get it. People on YouTube.com get tens of thousands of views all the time and a lot of it is crap. I admit some of it is entertaining, but how do they get these views. One member joined 2 weeks ago and is already the #9 top watched channel on all of YouTube.com. Amazing. Mike came over today so we did an off-the-cuff vlog; it's kind of on the long side but nevermind that. I was thinking about our videos, we need to take our quality in the technical sides and really start to push the creative side. I mean widescreen, high fidelity audio, well lit, nicely shot videos will only get you so far if there isn't any substance to them. I've watched a bit of videos on YouTube.com and some people have it just the opposite; their videos are awesome but would really, and by really I mean ABSOLUTELY, benefit from a nice polish. Basically I've learned, as I have known but keep rejecting the idea, content is king, everything else is just a bonus. Off to bed. Have a goodnight.

Today we've posted another blog. School starts tomorrow. School, work, work and work...no fun. Steve Irwin died today from a stingray. RIP Steve Irwin for doing what he loved.

Day Before Labor Day

So I came home earlier than I thought I was gonna come home. John is still in Hillbert/Appleton (I'm not really sure where he is.) I noticed that YouTube is down as of now and I hope that it is gonna be up again soon. I was gonna watch some of the videos on there. There are so many videos on there to waste time with. If you get a chance check out the music video for OK GO. The song is "Here It Goes Again." It's a pretty cool video with treadmills. John and I are gonna maybe put up another Vlog up someime this week. But with school starting, I'm not sure when we'll get to it. Well I think I'm gonna sleep now, so I'll see you all later.

Labor Day

Well Labor Day is coming right along which means school is starting the day after. Both Phil and I are going to our respective homes for the weekend which means nothing new on here, Youtube.com or MySpace.com. Enjoy the weekend.

Vlogger

Well, quicker than originally thought, our video blog is up with our very first Vlog. I realize that there isn't much to the current video posted, but it was more to see if everything would run smoothly, which it did. I've picked out a spot in the living room to sit down and do some of these things; it's just weird because what do two guys who have some random videos and would like to make more talk about. I have no idea. Phil has no idea, but stay tuned because one of us is bound to have an idea.

Tuesday Morning

I spent a little time and got the sidebar (over there >>>>) to be a little more user friendly. I put up some contact info just in case anyone wants to get into contact with us. Also what you may notice is that I have added a "Video Blog" section; the reason for this is because soon, I'm hoping in a week, there will be a weekly video blog hosted on YouTube.com/acheesefloats. The topics or even what the videos will focus on is still being discussed. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to comment on the entry. Well I guess that's all for now. Alright, now that we have what I would call "the content" (the videos) up and running, we can get to work on other things such as stringing this site, MySpace, and YouTube together more seamlessly; making more videos and gaining some internet popularity... somehow. I made it so that www.acheesefloats.com brings you to our blog; from here you can go to our other sites and explore the extra content they have. As for this, as if anyone is actually reading this (other than Phil and I), the blog will cover any type of subjects we damn well please. So we'll see you later.

For all of you that don't know, this is the newest site for A Cheese Floats Productions. If you know our old address, www.acheesefloats.com, then you get re-routed to here. Right now we are working on adding our movies to the site. This will be where you get your dose of A Cheese Floats. For those of you that don't know, A Cheese Floats Productions was made in 2003 when Phil Tatak and John Court were walking to the tennis court one day. We thought that we should make a production company for the movies that we made while in college. This is what we came up with. So far under A Cheese Floats Productions we have around 16 movies to put up here. Soon we will put all of them up but until then...ummmm....ok bye
